my husband and I had chicken for dinner tonight. My cats love chicken‚ and like usual they were asking for a piece or two. I gave them each a few pieces of the breast (no bones!). After about 10 minutes‚ my black cat Magic started acting really weird....kinda just not himself. He then vomited once‚ threw up all the chicken he had eaten‚ plus his own food. Since then‚ he's just been EXTREMELY lethargic.....just laying down‚ doesn't want to get up‚ seems super tired. My other cat is fine. Both my cats are 4 years old and (up until now!) are really‚ really healthy. They are both on a straight wet food diet (top of the line food)‚ and neither of them are overweight. Does anyone know what could be going on with him? If he's still like this tomorrow‚ I'll be taking him to the vet.

I don't think it had anything to do with the chicken. He may just have a hairball brewing or it could be something more serious...could he have gotten into anything he shouldn't have...some sort of poison?

All I can suggest at this point is watching him carefully‚ as you already are‚ and head to the vet if this continues or get worse.

I agree that it doesn't sound like the chicken. I'd look into other possibilities like having gotten into something he shouldn't have.
If he doesn't feel better soon or worsens‚ a vet visit is in order.

Was the chicken cooked in anything? Anything spicy is bad for them but plain steamed chicken is okay, they'd probably just find it bland.
